Cooling the Tube
The TfL Northern & Bakerloo Mid-Tunnel Venting System Upgrade was colloquially know as 'Cooling the Tube'; a complex mechanical and electrical project where DGA were commissioned by design engineers Halcrow to provide the commercial and project planning support for installation. Involved from the early stages of design DGA were instrumental in the preparation of the initial cost plan, and as major design changes were implemented were tasked with ensuring that updated cost plans were formatted to facilitate direct comparisons.
DGA assisted in the preparation of Life Cycle Cost Models designed to contain a large degree of functionality to allow various scenarios to be run for different equipment selections, fluctuating energy costs and differing maintenance regimes.
Combined Cycle Gas Turbines
Embracing new technology DGA have had recent involvement in three CCGT power stations, providing commercial management services, specialist subcontract package audits and project controls, in respect of both the mechanical and 'heavy power' works packages to these turnkey contracts.
