All standard forms of construction contracts are by necessity prescriptive as to specific management processes required of the parties. Most relate to the timing and nature of communication regarding events, variations and milestones.
Failure by either party to properly adhere to due process can lead to exposure to additional business risk, failure to achieve full contractual entitlement and give rise to unwanted liabilities.
At DGA we can advise on all aspects of contract administration, assist in establishing proper procedures, provide training for site management, ensure that proper records are maintained, monitor correspondence and review variation impacts.
We can deliver our services through seconded personnel, or via an advisory service. We can prepare and deliver bespoke training courses to act as refreshers to your staff, or provide 'toolbox talk' style focussed presentations to site personnel addressing specific issues.
NEC3 Family of Contracts
Rapidly becoming the contract of choice for all public sector and infrastructure projects, the NEC3 contracts are entirely driven by prescriptive procedure designed to encourage good practice. Compliance is a matter of conforming to good administrative process. The pressures of live projects however, have a record of making this more difficult than the contract drafters intended. At DGA we have sought to address this issue and have designed a suite of software packages that approach the application of the compliance requirements from a 'site users' perspective. Simple and clear in use, the software is designed to accomodate the needs of both employers representives and their supply chains. DGA can offer a package that includes installation and training as well as full contractual advice and support throughout the project.
