DGA in Project Planning

DGA can assist by the parties by providing professional planning services in relation to the production of the contract programme and subsequent monitoring of the progress of the works.  We can offer:

  • Preparation of the Contract Programme: we can interact fully with the project team to ensure that the completed programme includes the key aspects of the construction works and that they are adequately detailed within the programme.
  • Programme Review: interrogating where appropriate the Critical Path networks and sub-networks to assess activity links and critical paths resulting from the logic imposed.
  • Method Statement Impacts: reviewing changes to sequencing, durations, productivity rates and applied resources.
  • Programme Monitoring: independent monitoring of progress against programme in a recurring time frame including review of design team performance on information flow, trade contractor progress against target and impact of variations.
  • Revised Programme to Completion/Acceleration Programmes: notwithstanding delay liability it is all parties interests to mitigate it's impact.  DGA have the skills to prepare revised programmes under a variety of criteria for comparison before adoption as the programme to completion.
  • As Built Programmes: we can offer a service to produce 'as built' programmes contemporary with the progress of the works, minimising the scope for disagreement of the facts.  However, if necessary we can analyse records and output data to retrospectively re-construct the as-built programme as an essential part of promoting or defending a parties position.

DGA planners are expert in the use of all commonly used planning software packages, and are equipped with all the necessary management and planning tools to maximise the cost efficiency of the service provided.
