Through Management Consultancy, DGA offers a range of services where we see ourselves as working with rather than working for our clients. 'Helping facilitate the improved management performance for the common benefit of all stakeholders' is the common theme to the services we offer.
- Benchmarking: We have the capacity to help our clients develop both corporate and operational Key Performance Indicators. We can undertake the research necessary to prepare bespoke datasets to meet specific needs. We can advise on the analysis of data to measure business efficiency, employee performance, client satisfaction and stakeholder value. Data research can also be used to compare costs of procurement, effectiveness of supply chain management and construction techniques.
- Whole Life Costing: We understand a client's need to link purchasing policy with delivery, and asset performance with renewal. We can help our clients best understand where management intervention is most effective and bring together key decision makers in the organisation in a way that ensures an exchange of knowledge as to all of the elements of both fixed and recurring costs; and stress testing the processes to check that the less conspicuous elements of cost are at optimum efficiency.
- Value Management: Poor value is frequently the end product of poor information, poor communication and poor planning; of fixed attitudes and unnecessary constraints. We see Value Management as a mindset and try to facilitate an approach where the management team is looking to promote innovation, simplify procedures and update processes; whilst seeking to enhance quality and reduce waste.
- Due Diligence: The key to effective due diligence in construction projects is speed without compromise to completeness. Whether the circumstances triggered by potential acquisitions or potential insolvency or liquidation, due diligence reports must be prepared with almost military style organisation, with those taking part remaining independent and objective throughout. Construction site due diligence is primarily a matter of logistics, but it must be accompanied by a full understanding of work in progress, potential contractual opportunities for recovery and of full supply chain liabilities in both directions. At DGA we have the resources, mobilisation skills and robust procedures to produce comprehensive reliable independent due diligence reports delivered when needed.
