At DGA we recognise that within small & medium size enterprises all the business issues of cost, value, quality, cashflow, efficiency and risk exist, but are potentially more intense as to their capacity to damage the business if they become misaligned, than is the case within the large corporates. Directors and Owner Managers find themselves with much less room to manoeuvre financially and practically when things are not going to plan.
Whether as victims of poor procurement or weak supply chain managment, SME's can often find themselves unwilling participants in dispute resolution processes where to SME's, costs can quickly outweigh the principles, and that cannot make for good business.
All of our professional services are open to the SME market, but in the areas of dispute resolution and certain consultancy services, we try to model our engagement terms to recognise the problem.
- Dispute Resolution: For adjudications and ADR processes we aim to prepare fixed fees or closely monitored budgets that correlate realistically with the sums in dispute.
- Consultancy Services: We offer a range of Non Executive Director and executive level business mentoring services that can advise your board and senior managers on a range of topics relating to business improvement, project monitoring, contract risk and specific ad hoc issues as they arise, rather than when they have become a problem. We can do this through a retainer basis giving own clients regular access to the opinions and skills of our most experienced consultants at an affordable price.
- Administrative Retainer Programme: We can prepare and price a 'recipe of services' bespoke to the needs of your business, delivered with the support of our own fixed overheads. This could include the completion of Pre-qualification Questionnaires, issuing standard correspondence relating to cashflow and overdue payments, reviews of electronic tender enquiries, assistance with Quality Assurance acreditation and other administrative services.
